HYDERABAD: Will the government ask DGP V Dinesh Reddy to step down from the post till the completion of the probe against him?Though in normal course, officials say that since probe is against two senior IPS officers, both should either be sent on leave till completion of enquiry or be shifted from their present posts. But so far, there is no word from political bosses over Wednesday's development. When contacted, home minister P Sabita Indra Reddy told Express: "We have not taken a view yet. I will have to discuss the issue with chief minister on whether DGP should continue and step down to facilitate inquiry into his assets. I will do it tomorrow. We have also not yet decided whether to appoint an IPS or an IAS officer to conduct inquiry. I will take up this issue too with the chief minister."Repeated efforts to reach Dinesh Reddy for his comment proved futile.
