New Delhi: So which one do you think will be a bigger and a better affair – the Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan wedding or the Liz Hurley-Arun Nayyar wedding?
The ‘Wedding of the Year’, as was the Liz- Nayar often referred to, seems to have been overshadowed by the announcement of the Bollywood’s hottest couple Ash and Abhishek.
There were reports of how the Hollywood actress’ wedding to India-born businessman Arun Nayar was going to one of the most glamorous events, with some the Hollywood bigwigs dropping in to wish the couple.
But it seems the Liz- Nayar union will be no competition for Bollywood’s much-awaited wedding.
And Abhishek’s father Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that the wedding will take place as soon the families get together, people are wondering whether the dates of the two ceremonies will clash.
A Bollywood insider said revealed that like any bride, Hurley would probably not like being upstaged by another woman on her wedding day.
"No bride likes to be upstaged and I'm sure Liz is no different. These are two of our biggest stars and they are expected to have a massive wedding - elephants included," the Daily Mail quoted the source, as saying.
The Indian wedding ceremony for Liz and Nayyar is reported to take place over the course of five days, with ceremonies being held in Udaipur and Mumbai.
Their guest list includes the likes of Hugh Grant, Sir Elton John, and David and Victoria Beckham. And have been told to wear 'glamorous and fabulous evening dresses' in either Indian or Western style for the big day.
Meanwhile, the Ash-Abhishek wedding likely to take place in Mumbai will be host to some of the biggest personalities from the world of sports, politics, business and entertainment attending.
