Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar, whose upcoming film 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara' will hit the cinema houses soon, says films are not made to "outdo" anyone in the industry.

"We don't make films for reason like I would outdo someone or their films...we don't make films to cut each other's work. We are all in one industry...don't divide us. We all make our films with hard work and love and want people to enjoy it," Akshay told reporters here last night at the promotional event

of his film.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Chennai Express' is set to release on August 9, John Abraham's 'Madras Cafe' will hit cinema houses on August 23 and Prakash Jha's multi-starrer political drama 'Satyagraha' will reportedly release on August 30.

"We do make a good film but to outdo one another. I focus on my work, what I want to do in my film. I don't believe in competition or the number game," he continued. In 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara', Akshay plays a villain -- underworld don.

Ask him if he wants to be remembered as a villain Akshay says, "About me being remembered as a villain...I don't know if that will happen or not as the film is yet to release, how much the film or my role will be liked or not is yet to be known."

"But yes, I was absolutely sure about the role I want to play. I loved the role. I think all girls prefer bad boys," he said with a smile.

Third promo of Milan Luthria directed 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara' was launched last night with the core team- Akshay, Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Milan and producer Ekta Kapoor.

"I used my weight...power on producers and told them at the edit table to make a new promo for me," he said in a lighter vein.

Akshay, who has teamed up with Sonakshi for the third time after 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Joker', was all praises for her.

The actor said that he has seen the 'Dabangg' actress improving. He said that he loved her performance in 'Lootera' and was sure that she would bag all the awards.

Sonakshi on her part says, "I enjoyed working with both of them (Akshay and Imran Khan). Imran is a thorough gentleman but a great co-star. They enjoyed bullying me."

While producer Ekta Kapoor reveals that she plans to visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah with the team of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara'. Also there is a iftar party that she has planned.

"There will be Iftar party on August 6...we have a big Bollywood party. We hope everyone celebrates iftar with us, it is a big night," she said.
