Srinagar: Two army jawans and a local youth were injured on Saturday after a group of 'terrorists' hurled a grenade on an army patrol team at Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
Police sources said, a group of terrorists in a 'planned attack' lobbed a grenade on an army patrol party at Goriwan in Bijbehara area of the district. "The explosion caused splinter injuries to two army jawans and a civilian", he said.
Soon after the blast, the other jawans took their positions but could not locate the perpetrators. They immediately took the injured jawans and a civilian to a nearby hospital.
Their condition is stated to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned-off the area and a massive hunt has been launched to arrest the terrorists, the official said.
