Cases which are under the jurisdiction of southern districts like Kottayam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram will be shifted to the new court.“Cases probed by the CBI and are currently pending before the CBI court First and Second will be sent to new court. A list has already been prepared. The list has 33 cases from the first special court and 28 cases from the second. This will be sent to the Kerala High Court. Once the HC gives its approval, case diary and other documents will be sent to Thiruvananthapuram. Cases where trial has already begun, are excluded from the list,” sources said. The decision to transfer cases to Thiruvananthapuram will be a breather for the NIA Special Court in Kochi,   as the CBI Special Court II and the NIA Court have been functioning together.
