Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has appointed Vaishnavi, a Class IX student, as the brand ambassador of Amaravati.
Naidu met Vaishnavi at the Secretariat on Monday, where she donated Rs 1 lakh for construction of the capital city of Amaravati.
Vaishnavi has also adopted two government schools in Krishna district and is making efforts to develop and improve facilities in the schools.
Naidu announced the decision on his Twitter handle, “We are very proud of the work a class 9th girl is doing. We are making her the ambassador of Amaravati."
The citizens appreciated and praised Vaishnavi for her contributions at this young age.
Amaravati, the proposed new capital city of Andhra Pradesh is a greenfield project that is being built on acquired farmland. The ambitious Amaravati project has already procured more than 33,000 acres of land from farmers. The total investment that has been committed tops Rs 50,000 crores.
