BANGALORE: The Yeshwantpur police are still probing to trace the owner of an apartment in Mattikere from where four persons including two women were arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket. As there are rumours that the apartment is owned by an MLA, the police are verifying documents related to the flat.
The North Division Deputy Commissioner of Police H S Revanna said that the investigation so far had revealed that one, Lakshman, was appointed to run the service apartment. "Efforts are being made to trace the owner of the apartment and we have requested the BBMP to provide the title deed of the apartment. After tracing the owner, action will be initiated against him according to the law," the DCP said.It may be recalled here that four persons were caught by the residents of Mattikere on the suspicion of running a prostitution racket and were handed over to Yeshawantapur police on Sunday night. The residents had alleged that the service apartment was owned by an MLA.
