Amelia Island (Florida): Sania Mirza's good show in the doubles continued and the Indian, pairing with Liezel Huber of South Africa, stormed into the semi-finals of the $600,000 Bausch and Lomb tennis championship in Amelia Island on Thursday.

Sania-Huber toyed with the Aussie pair of Nicole Pratt and Bryanne Stewart before knocking them out 6-2, 6-3 in the quarter-finals.

Contrary to their jittery first round win on Wednesday, the Indo-South African duo were ruthless from the start and broke the Aussies six times in the first set en-route to win it 6-2.

After grabbing the lead, Sania-Huber mounted the pressure and broke their opponents twice and, despite squandering their serve once, won the second set and the match.

Sania-Huber will now take on the winner of the match between Russian pair of Dinara Safina and Elena Vesnina and second seed Spanish-American duo of Virginia Ruano Pascual and Meghann Shaughnessy.
