New Delhi: Expelled Samajwadi Party leader Raj Babbar on Thursday handed over to Uttar Pradesh Governor a copy of the CD purportedly containing the tapped phone conversations of SP General Secretary Amar Singh with UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, other politicians and some Bollywood actresses.
The actor-turned politician, who was recently expelled from the SP, has said he would form a front against "brokers" in politics and his former party.
He says he would traverse the entire country and seek support of parties and individuals with a similar ideology to form a 'Samajwadi Morcha'.
Denouncing "brokers", in an oblique reference to Amar Singh, he alleged that money meant for developmental schemes in Agra, which he represents in the Lok Sabha, was "being blocked by brokers in Samajwadi Party'.
Babbar said he would rather get his "head chopped off than bow before a broker".
