Kolkata: A senior IVRCL official Ranjit Bhattacharjee has been arrested by police on Wednesday in connection with the Kolkata flyover tragedy.
Total nine people have been arrested in the case so far.
Senior AGM Mallikarjun, structural manager Pradeep Saha and assistant manager Divyajyoti Mazumdar were arrested a day after the flyover collapse which killed at least 26 people and injured more than 80 others.
Initially a FIR under culpable homicide not amounting to murder (section 304) was filed against the builder, which was later changed to a case of murder (section 302).
Terming the mishap as "unfortunate", infrastructure major IVRCL had said it will cooperate with the state authorities probing the collapse of an under-construction flyover in Kolkata.
