New Delhi: Results of All India Postgraduate Medical Exams have been put on hold after reports of massive cheating.
Students have been advised not to go for counselling, which was scheduled for March 3.
It has been alleged that there was a paper leak in the Chennai centre.
Following the revelations, the case is being handed over to the Central Bureau of Examination.
Meanwhile, Health Minister, Anbumani Ramadoss said, "We have looked into some of the applicants who have scored high rankings and we found some issues in them. So we have informed the CBI to inquire and take necessary action."
This entrance examination is conducted exclusively for admission to 25 per cent of seats of various postgraduate courses (MD/Ms/Diploma) in different medical colleges and MDS courses against open seat as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court.
The rules and regulations of this exam is specified by the Government of India and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
