At least 20 people have died in the past week while more than two dozen people have been suffering from diarrhoea. According to the health officials, the outbreak of diarrhoea has been reported in Dunga and Handwara panchayats of Narayanpur district. The officials said that a team of doctors and health workers have been sent to the affected villages.
Raipur: Ministry drops mega power project plan at Surguja
The Power Ministry has apparently dropped the plan to set up the Rs 20,000 crore ultra mega power project at Surguja of the state. According to the ministry, the coal block allotted for the project falls under the area of dense forest and therefore, likely to have an adverse impact on the environment. Allocation of the plant might cause damage to the environment.
