No Visitors Allowed At Kolkata Airport Amid Beefed Up Security Measures Ahead of Independence Day
Entry for visitors has been banned at the Kolkata airport till August 20 following a security alert ahead of Independence Day from various central agencies. As part of the enhanced security protocol, only passengers carrying air tickets, airport staff, and security personnel are now allowed inside the terminal building. Bank Holiday Today: Banks to Remain Shut for 8 Out of Next 10 Days in These Cities
The Reserve Bank of India had released its list of mandated bank holidays earlier for the month of August. According to the list, there were a total of 8 holidays listed as per the RBI. In addition to this, there were also the weekends to consider i.e., Sundays as well as Second and Fourth Saturdays. With that in mind, the list of holidays for lenders this month grew to 15 days in total. With the passing of the first week of August, that list has shrunk down to 12 holidays, including weekends.
