Netanyahu in India LIVE: Israeli PM Lauds Modi, Says Astonished to See India's Rise in Ease of Business Rankings
Benjamin Netanyahu is the first Israeli Prime Minister in 15 years to visit India but he comes at a time when his political standing is at the weakest in his three-decade long career.

Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue in Delhi Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu lauded Prime Minister Modi for India’s improved ranking in ease of doing business rankings. India had jumped 30 places to become the 100th friendliest business destination, as perceived by World Bank. He said: “The strong survive, the weak don’t survive, you make peace and alliances with the strong.” Stressing upon the need for greater cooperation between the two nations, he said: “I like soft power, but hard power is usually better. You need F-35s, you need cyber, you need a lot of intelligence… especially for a country like Israel.” Earlier in the day Netanyahu and his wife Sara visited the Taj Mahal. They stayed at the Taj Complex for a few hours, posed for photos and learnt about the 17th century monument. Benjamin Netanyahu is the first Israeli Prime Minister in 15 years to visit India but he comes at a time when his political standing is at the weakest in his three-decade long career. He is visiting India for a six-day trip and is being accompanied by a 130-member delegation from various sectors including cyber, agriculture and defence.
