New Delhi: Looking stunning as usual, Nargis Fakhri was lately spotted at a promotional do in Noida. Reports about Nargis dating Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor have been doing the rounds these days.
When asked about her equation with Shahid, Nargis smiled and said, "I find the dating rumours really amusing. People call me to tell about whom am I dating now. Shahid is a very caring and down to earth person. We get along well and that’s all."
Media reports claim that Nargis spent quality time with Shahid in Goa during his birthday celebrations lately. They were even spotted together at a restaurant in Mumbai. Let’s wait and watch; is it only work or something else which is bringing them together again and again.
Nargis who made her Bollywood debut with Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor failed to impress the critics with her performance. However, she remained in news for long for her on and off screen chemistry with Ranbir. Talking about Ranbir she said, "Yes I am still in touch with Ranbir and Imtiaz Ali as well. However, life has become so busy that it’s tough to catch up with friends regularly. After a hectic day when I reach home, I am already too tired to call up anyone." Is that an indirect way to say that I am ready to move on?
Even though her performance as Heer Kaul in Rockstar met with criticism, the newbie actress remains undeterred, saying the comments have helped her overcome flaws. "I deal with the criticism the same way I deal with the praise. I am a very positive person and when people criticize it helps me overcome my flaws. I am very new to this industry so I take it as an experience and feel motivated to do better," she said.
Nargis remained tight-lipped about her future projects. Bollywood actress who's working on her Hindi as well says, "After being a part of a film like Rockstar, my next project has to be as good or better. There are a lot of exciting projects lined up, however I can't talk about them as of now. I will make an official announcement when the time is right."
Model turned actress, Nargis is born to a Czech mother and a Pakistani father. She stepped into Bollywood at the age of 32. Nargis has no qualms about this and says, "You are as young as you really feel."
Talking about her health and beauty secrets Nargis said, "I don't believe in size zero. I just eat right and use natural products for my skin. I try to be always happy and cheerful as this also helps in your mental wellbeing."
Nargis also performed at an award function lately. She chose 'Munni Badnaam' for her performance. Nargis says that she enjoyed the entire experience. Knowing her dancing skills, we may see her in an item number too.
Nargis says that she never wanted to become an actress. "Acting was never on the agenda, so I think Rockstar happened at the right time. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Rockstar. I have been modeling since I was 16. I am very new to the film industry and while I thoroughly enjoy my new job, there is still a lot for me to learn," she said.
The actress says she stayed away from the limelight to guard her personal life. "I don't think I am an introvert at all. But I am guarded about my personal life and I think that's important when you work in this industry."
Despite being exposed to the world of show business as a model, Nargis says she was not prepared for the kind of attention she got post the film's release. "Nothing can prepare you for this. I still get very nervous when I have to face a lot of people. It freaks me out to see so many people in front of me, calling out my name," she said.
