Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath on Thursday said that investments had dried up in Madhya Pradesh. This happened despite the fact that the BJP government in the state had organised a number of investor meets, the minister said while addressing the Parivartan Yatra of the Congress in Seoni.

"There is no doubt that all these meets were nothing but a total flop," Kamalnath said. During the last more than nine years of BJP being in power in Madhya Pradesh, the state government had done nothing but only passed off central schemes as its own, he alleged.

State Congress unit president Kantilal Bhuria alleged that most of the ration shops in the state were now being run by BJP leaders or workers because of which grains for the poor were being sold in the black market.

He said there was not much need to talk about the BJP because its veteran leader L K Advani has himself said that the party is not what it used to be.
