The Bihar Assembly was adjourned on Tuesday till 2pm after the BJP legislators staged a walkout over the mid-day meal deaths in Chhapra.
Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary was holding a special discussion in the House over the Chhapra incident that had claimed 23 lives.
BJP leader and former CM Sushil Modi said the CM should come to the Assembly and should reveal if there’s any conspiracy.
“CM had not spoken for eight days after the Chappra incident. Rs 463 core was given back to the Center. I want to tell the govt please don't do politics over the dead bodies of 23 kids. Nitish has to take responsibility,” he said.
The Opposition also demanded resignation of the the Chief Minister after the government and the Opposition came face to face over the issue.
The week-long monsoon session of the Bihar assembly began on Friday with the Opposition creating a ruckus over the death of 23 children not finding mention in the obituary reference by the Speaker.
