New Delhi: Micromax announced the launch of its flagship tablet - Canvas Tab P650 - which has an 8-inch IPS display. The Canvas Tab is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM.
It has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. The tablet has an internal memory of 16GB; it supports a microSD card up to 32GB.
It is the first tab in the Canvas series that runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) OS, which is upgradable via FOTA (Firmware Over The Air).
The 3G-enabled Canvas Tab P650 offers features like multiple video view, look away pause and video pinning. The tablet also includes calling capability.
It is packed with a 4800 mAh battery, and is claimed to offer a browsing time of up to 5 hours. Priced at Rs 16,500, the Canvas Tab is available in 2 colors - White and Blue - starting September 18.
