THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thampanoor ward councillor R Harikumar inaugurated an exhibition, titled ‘Arogyam Jana Manasukalilekku’, conducted by the Psychiatry Department of Medical College as part of the World Mental Health Day on Sunday at the Chenkalchoola, Rajaji Nagar. Dr S Krishnan Nair, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, presided over the function. Volunteers of the National Service Scheme and Mahila Samakhya Society visited various houses in the area and conducted awareness activities.At 4 pm, a discussion class took place on the topic ‘Mental health problems: Challenges faced by women.’ Mayor K Chandrika inaugurated a programme called ‘Vibhavanam’ for further activities in future.On Monday, there will be seminar on the topic ‘More emphasis on investment for mental health’ at the Medical College.
