Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang is behind the firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s House in Mumbai on Sunday, top Mumbai Police sources said.

As per sources, the attack was carried out by Rohit Godara, who operates Bishnoi’s gang in Rajasthan. One of the accused has been identified as Vishal aka Kalu, who works for Rohit Godara, a gangster from Rajasthan who runs the Bishnoi’s Gang in Rajasthan.

Sources said that both the accused have fled from Mumbai.

An FIR was filed earlier today and later the case was transferred to crime branch.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage of two bike-borne men firing gunshots outside Salman Khan’s house has surfaced. Gunshots were fired outside Khan’s house in Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday at around 4:55 am. Two individuals came on a motorcycle and fired three shots in the air outside the actor’s house.

In the CCTV video, one of the attackers could be seen riding the bike and the other fired three rounds with the weapon aimed towards the actor’s house. The accused riding the bike slowed his vehicle, giving the pillion rider just enough time to carry out the attack before fleeing from the scene.

Heavy police force was deployed outside the actor’s residence, Galaxy Apartments following the incident. Mumbai Police are examining CCTV footage to nab the culprits. The incident was reported at the Bandra Police Station and an FIR was filed.

Salman Khan was present in his home at the time of the incident, Mumbai Police said.

After the firing, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Salman Khan over a phone call and also held discussions with the Mumbai Police Commissioner.

“This is an unfortunate incident. Police are investigating it. The accused will be caught and stringent action will be taken against them,” Shinde said. The Maharashtra CM also said that “those who take the law into their own hands won’t be spared”.

“Commissioner has been informed to assess the security of Salman Khan and his entire family & increase the security. I have also spoken with Salman Khan too. I have told him that the Government is with him and he need not worry,” the Chief Minister added.
