Apart from the traditional ‘Sadya’, this year, the organisers gave tourists an opportunity to be part of the sadya preparations, which was a novel experience for them.“More than 50 tourists who were staying at various homestays in Kochi came to Kumbalangi to be part of the celebrations. It was a new experience for all of them and many have promised us that they would be come next year also,” said Kumbalangi Model Tourism Development Society secretary Shaji Kurupassery.The five-day-long festivities held at Kumbalangi park were marked by musical programmes, tug-of-war, stage performances of the state’s traditional art forms and various other competitions.
