BANGALORE: Seeking swift decisions to be taken on their demands ranging from wage revisions to promotions, members of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation SC/ST Employee Union announced on Tuesday that more than 30,000 members of the union would go on a ‘token strike’ next month. Addressing the media in the city on Tuesday, Mavalli Shankar, the union president said, “The government had announced an increase in the wages in the budget for the employees working in BMTC and KSRTC but still nothing has happened. Even during the probation period, we are left out. We want the government to consider us on par with others, revise the wages and also address our grievances every month. If no action is taken, we will strike against the government”, he added. The union is claiming that more than 30,000 backward class employees  work in the department.
