KOPPAL: Preparations are in full swing for the successful conduct of the All India Kannada Literary meet to be held at Gangavati in November this year, said Kannada Sahitya Parishad (KSP) district unit president Shekharagouda Malipatil.He was speaking in a series of meetings of sub-committees for preparations of the meet in Gangavati, near here, on Wednesday. Malipatil added that all the 30 sub-committees are working in their respective assignments and have called upon literary enthusiasts to join them in ensuring the success of the meet.Enrolment committee president Mallanagouda said that all teachers from the district are chipping in with their commitment for the meet. Two counters for enrolment of representatives of nearby districts and one counter for representatives of other districts would be set up for enrolment, Mallanagouda said.President of sub-committee for book exhibition and sale, Suresh Singanal, said that all the 400 stalls would be made available for book sellers from across the state.Police department is all set to ensure necessary arrangements for the Kannada Sahitya Parishad meet, stated president of sub-committee for protection and deputy superintendent DL Hanagi.In all, 600 police personnel, including officers, would be deployed for the meet under the guidance of superintendent of police B S Prakash, he noted. Office-bearers of sub-committees, including S G Gondabal, Basavaraj Koti and Ningajja, attended the meetings.
