HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will tour Kurnool district on the last day of the Education Fortnight celebrations and will participate in various government programmes on Saturday. He will hold a review meeting with the district officials at the collectorate on the government flagship programmes on the occasion. The chief minister will leave for Kurnool at 9 am on Saturday and reach Malyala project site where he will inaugurate Kasturba Gandhi School at Banaganapalle. He will lay the foundation stone for a model school to be built at a cost of Rs 3.02 crore as part of the Education Fortnight. He will also lay stone for the Daddanala Lift Irrigation Scheme to be constructed at a cost of Rs 9 crore. Later, he will address a public meeting and distribute assets to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes at Banaganapalle. On the occasion, Kiran Kumar Reddy will inaugurate a Government Nursing College building at Kurnool Medical College, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 4.8 crore apart from inaugurating the maternity and child block at the Government General Hospital in Kurnool costing Rs 3.77 crore. The chief minister will inaugurate the Rs 36.67 crore water supply scheme of the Kurnool Municipal Corporation.
