HYDERABAD: Kollapur MLA Jupally Krishna Rao has resigned from his post.He submitted his resignation letter to Assembly deputy secretary K Satyanarayana on Friday.Krishna Rao who hails from Mahabubnagar district, worked as endowments minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy government. He quit the minister post earlier.After submitting his resignation, he wanted to address a press conference in the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) office. But the CLP staff did not allow him to address a press conference there.The staff curtly told Krishna Rao that chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy instructed them not to permit the MLAs who want to speak against the government in the CLP office.The supporters of the former minister who accompanied him, picked an argument with the CLP office staff and raised slogans against Kiran Kumar. Later, they tried to break open the locks of the conference hall. But they did not succeed in their attempt.Speaking to reporters later, Krishna Rao said Telangana state would become a realty if all the T Congress ministers, MPs and MLAs quit their posts en masse.The mass resignation of Telangana Congress leaders would prevent T youths from committing suicide.About 650 youths had already sacrificed their lives for Telangana.The resignation of T Congress leaders en masse would mount pressure on the party high command to take an early decision on T issue. There is no difference in the stand of T Congress leaders and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on the Telangana issue, he felt.
