Los Angeles: It's not the usual role for the 'Pretty Woman', but Julia Roberts plays the evil witch in new film 'Mirror Mirror'. It's a twist on the 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' tale, with the woman playing the heroine in a quest to save her beloved man. Lily Collins, daughter of English musician Phil Collins, plays the lead role.
Lily Collins, said - "I think it takes a strong man to accept help from a woman but I think it also says a lot about today's world where girls have to do anything as well."
It's also an unusual role for British hardman Sean Bean, known for playing dark villains. In this movie he plays Snow White's loving father. Sean Bean, about being in film he said, "It was very refreshing for me. As I've said before I've played very heavy duty roles before so it was a welcome relief for me."
Roberts was all smiles at the beginning of the premiere but it quickly turned sour. It was reported that the actress stopped giving interviews at the premiere after a journalist from a US entertainment program asked her questions about friend and former co-star George Clooney. He was arrested last week for protesting at the Sudanese embassy.
Roberts also seemed annoyed when reporters asked about comparisons to another upcoming film, 'Snow White and the Huntsman', starring Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart.
Actor Armie Hammer who plays the prince could not attend the premiere because he is currently filming 'The Lone Ranger' with Johnny Depp. 'Mirror Mirror' is set to hit theaters in the United States on March 30 with global rollouts to follow.
