Sant Kabir Nagar: Sudhakar Yadav, who died in helicopter crash in Uttarakhand during a rescue operation, was cremated with full national honour here on Sunday.
Mortal remains of Yadav reached his native village Asharfabad by a special plane where a number of people paid tribute to the martyr, sources said.
Later, he was consigned to flames at Maghar with full national honour.
On behalf of the state government, Cabinet minister Raj Kishore was present along with officers of Indian Air Force.
On Tuesday, an Indian Air Force helicopter had crashed while on a rescue mission in Uttarakhand killing 20 people, including its five crew members.
Two officers, Junior Warrant Officer Akhilesh Kumar Singh and Sergeant Sudhakar Yadav, were from Uttar Pradesh.
