New Delhi: Defence Minister AK Antony on Wednesday made it clear that there was no communication gap between him and the Army Chief General VK Singh. "Our policy is no cover up, no vendetta. There is no communication gap between the Defence Minister and defence chiefs. There is no confrontation between us," he told reporters.
He also said that the functioning of Army has improved.
"Lot of controversies in Army since independence. The functioning of Army has improved. We will look at the allegations and act if necessary," he said.
"I treat the armed forces like a joint family, I respect them. I have to think of the welfare of the armed force. Discussion between various departments is part of decision making in a democratic process," he added.
