New Delhi: Former Beatles member George Harrison may be long since dead he isn’t history. Hollywood Walk of Fame commemorated the legendary musician.
George Harrisson’s journey from Abbey Road to Hollywood Boulevard is stuff legends are made of.
The former Beatle posthumously received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, becoming the second individual Beatle to earn the solo honour.
Sir Paul McCartney was on hand to represent the Fab Four. The ceremony also drew celebrities and admirers such as Tom Hanks, Tom Petty, Harrison's widow Olivia and son Dhani.
Harrison was 58 when he died of cancer in 2001. Considered the quite Beatle with an understated style of play, he was also a gifted songwriter.
“Every record was an event, every cut was an opera. All things must pass, but George will live forever,” said actor Tom Hanks.
Paul McCartney said, “It was wonderful. We love George and everyone here loves George. God bless him.”
Beatlemania is expected to rise all over again with the digital release of the legendary group's studio catalogue set to go on sale in September.
Britney at it again
Meanwhile, the Oops, I Did It Again star Britney Spears seems to really have done it again.
Britney has allegedly fallen for a male backup dancer now. The man in question, Chase Benz is said to be getting quite up, close and personal with the pop star.
One of the dancers on the singer's Circus tour, Britney has reported that Britney started a relationship with Chase just two weeks ago, after meeting him on her Circus tour.
The duo was seen bumping and grinding on stage together during the tour.
Sources close to the pop star reveals that Britney is totally into Chase, but let's not forget that Britney had married her now ex-husband Kevin Federline who was once one of her backup dancers too!
