Grand Theft Auto V coming to PC in Q1 2014: Report
The latest installment of GTA received strong reviews and racked up $800 million in first-day sales alone.

New Delhi: If a new report is to be believed, a PC version of the hugely popular Grand Theft Auto V will be out in the first quarter of 2014.

"A Change.org petition for a PC release of GTA V has gathered nearly 600,000 signatures over the past several months," reports Eurogamer.

Released on 17 September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, the fifteenth title in the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA V, was the first main entry since Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008.

Developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games, the critically acclaimed open world action-adventure video game sold 11.21 million units in its first 24 hours, and generated revenue of $815.7 million, going on to reach $1 billion in sales after just three days on September 20 2013.

The latest installment of GTA, a cultural phenomenon that has sparked a national debate on adult content and violence, received strong reviews and racked up $800 million in first-day sales alone.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular game series ever, known for its open world game play and over the top portrayal of violence and sleaze; it is a game which has always divided opinion on censoring game content.

Gamers had eagerly awaited the fifth installment of the 16-year-old game after Grand Theft Auto IV was released in 2008.
