BANGALORE: The four advocates who were arrested in connection with rioting on the City Civil Court premises on Friday were sent to the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison on Sunday morning.The police said the four accused -- A P Ranganath, Somesh, Arun Naik and Santosh -- were produced before the judge late on Saturday night and were remanded in judicial custody till March 16.However, the accused had asked the judge to permit them to take medical treatment for wounds and fatigue, and they were treated at Victoria and Jayadeva hospitals.“They were directly taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment and by Sunday morning they were examined by the doctors.As their condition was normal they were treated at out patients and sent back.Only one of them, who had wounds on his forehead was treated at the surgery department,” the police said.Accused Ranganath, who is also the general secretary of Bangalore Advocate’s Association, complained of a chest pain and was taken to Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences.“He complained of chest pain, fatigue and tiredness.He was subjected to various tests like ECG, Echo and treadmill test.As the reports were normal, he was sent back to the prison,” the police added.Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), T Suneel Kumar said the special teams formed to investigate the case.
