Follow us:WhatsappFacebookTwitterTelegram.cls-1{fill:#4d4d4d;}.cls-2{fill:#fff;}Google NewsWell there is not much to say about the game. The weather has spoiled what had promised to be great contest.

Bad weather and rain stoppage affect both the teams particularly the batsmen. They never know when the paly would be called off and even when they are in the dressing room, the umpires may suddenly come and say that the match will be starting in the next 20 minutes.

So one has to be mentally prepared to come out to the field on a short notice and this puts a lot of strain. Such a scenario is the worst nigtmare of the batsmen as they cannot play their natural game.

Andrew Flintoff is facing the same situation now as he does not know how to bat beacuse the weather has been playing spoilsport. His natural game is to attack but he cannot do so because the weather will not allow him to settle and play.

The last two years have seen him grow in stature and today he is one of the leading all-rounders in the game. He has an inspiring affect on the other players who are ready to give their best.

At Nagpur this quality of Flintoff was very much evident and the England team, missing its skipper and his deputy, rallied around him to give a scare to the Indian team.

He believes in leading by example and although it is too early to say but he reminds me of the great Kapil Dev.

Both Kapil and Tendulkar have this quality and I remember that during the 1983 world cup, it was Kapil's leadership that was responsible for our victory in the tournament.

Flintoff, too, is follwing in their foot steps and has become the main cog in England team.

He is a great athlete and has already shown that he can be better than the best. His performancve against Australia was an example of this and that is why England were able to wrest back the Ashes after a long time.

He has a great future and England will depend a lot on him.
