Explain Kattas health status, says Court

BANGALORE: In connection with the bail petition on medical grounds filed by former minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, the Lokayukta Special Court has directed the director of Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology to give a medical opinion on his health condition.Katta Subrmanya Naidu is currently under judicial custody in connection with the KIADB land scam.Kidwai director Prof Vijay Kumar, said that he would submit a report on Friday, for which Judge N K Sudheendra Rao said that he would give the order based on his report.Though the judge, on September 28, had said that he would pass the order on Katta’s bail plea on Tuesday, he summoned Prof Vijay Kumar to appear before the court to give his medical opinion.Prior to this, the oncologist of Victoria Hospital Dr Meera, appeared before the judge and explained Katta Subramanya Naidu’s health condition.Kumar told the court that no operation was required for Katta as it would be dangerous as the cancer has developed in a sensitive part
