The Indian skipper remained unbeaten on 46 as India won a last over thriller.
India handed an international debut to Abhishek Nayar as captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl against West Indies at the Beausejour Stadium here on Friday.
India, who suffered a batting collapse at Kingston on Sunday, made two changes to their side, bringing in Nayar for Ravindra Jadeja while Ishant Sharma replaced Praveen Kumar. West Indies went in unchanged.
The four-match ODI series is currently locked at 1-1 after India won the first one-dayer by 20 runs before West Indies bounced back to beat the visitors by seven wickets in the double-header at Jamaica.
