A decision on cloud seeding in drought-hit districts would be made in next 10 days, Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar said on Sunday. He told reporters in Ilkal near here that due to doubts raised during State Assembly session recently a final decision on cloud seeding would be taken only after conducting technical survey.
Shettar informed that cloud seeding would be taken up on an experimental basis and the region where clouds should be centered would be identified through radar.
If successful it would be extended to other parts of the state, he added.
“Chief Minister has the power to allocate portfolios but no decision in this regard has been taken,” he said adding that when the government is going on smoothly such question would not arise.
The Cabinet has taken decision on the rehabilitation of Aihole village and it would be implemented he assured.
