HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has finalised list of candidates for 14 of the 18 Assembly segments going for byelections. They would take a final decision on the remaining four seats in a few days. However, the party high command has to clear the names finalised by the APCC. According to APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, the party is yet to identify suitable candidates for Parakal, Macherla, Rayachoti and Payakaraopet. In the next few days, the exercise would end, he said.The party has recommended former MLA M Venkataramana for Tirupati seat which was vacated by the erstwhile PRP president K Chiranjeevi. Though mines and geology minister Galla Aruna Kumari wants the seat for her industrialist son G Jaya Dev, Botcha Satyanarayana is rallying towards Venkataramana.Aruna Kumari had already requested chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to field her son from Tirupati since her family has a good name in the district and resources would not be a problem.
