Pakistan defeated Argentina 3-0 while England held Netherlands 1-1 in warm-up games ahead of the FIH Champions Trophy beginning December 6.
Bhubaneswar: Pakistan thrashed Argentina 3-0 in the first practice match, while England held Netherlands 1-1 in another warm-up game ahead of the FIH Champions Trophy that begins here on Saturday.
Muhammad Irfan opened the account for Pakistan in the first quarter, followed by goals from Muhammad Arslan Qadir and Muhammad Rizwan Sr. in the second quarter
Speaking after the match, Pakistan captain Muhammad Imran said, "We want to play a good number of practice matches before the start of the Champions Trophy. Though we should not compare practice matches with real tournament, but today's win will give us confidence."
Meanwhile, in another practice match, one of the tournament favourites, the Netherlands, were held to a 1-1 draw by England.
