Patna The Bihar government is sending a report to the Home Ministry on Sunday night?s audacious Naxal attack in Jehanabad.
The government will request the Home Ministry to send 25 additional companies of the Central Paramilitary forces to rid the town of Naxalites.
The Naxalites broke open the jail in Jehanabad to free their supporters and their area commander in chief Ajay Kanu.
Chief Secretary G S Kang said that an actual figure was not available but they believe the Naxals looted 16 rifles and nearly a 1000 rounds of ammunition from police personnel.
He added that though contingents of the special task force of Bihar Police and Central Paramilitary Forces have been sent to Jehanabad, their arrival could be delayed as they were proceeding slowly with anti-landmine vehicles leading the way.
There was apprehension that the Naxalites might have heavily mined all roads leading to Jehanabad town.
He also confirmed the death of outlawed Ranvir Sena zonal commander Bade Sharma.
Entry and exit points in Jehanabad have been sealed and rigorous hunt has been launched to arrest the Naxalites.
The Naxalites set free 341 prisoners when they broke open the Jehanabad jail and kidnapped more than 10 members of rival Ranvir Sena who were lodged in the jail.
