Call to merge civil, criminal courts

KOCHI: Merging the Civil and Criminal Courts  is the only way to reduce the work pressure of the Magistrate Court staff, Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge B Kemal Pasha has said.He was speaking at the inaugural function of the district conference of the Kerala Criminal Judiciary Staff Association (KCJSA), held at the YMCA Hall in Kochi. The association set out various demands such as salary hike and merging of civil and criminal courts.
