Acting on a tip-off, police searched Mandai forest area on Chilpi road bordering Chhattisgarh on Tuesday and recovered an iron container, two batteries (12 volt), an electronic detonator, TNT 18.700 kg, 1 kg glass pieces, six kg urea, 22 feet electric wire and naxal pamphlets, Balaghat Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Tiwari told reporters in Balaghat.
According to police, they also got an input that Malajkhand Dalam members were planning a major strike during the movement of central forces ahead of Lok Sabha polls following which intensive combing of the area has been conducted.
