Hyderabad: BJP National Secretary B Datattreya on Tuesday claimed that the Bihar poll results marked the beginning of the fall of UPA at the Centre.

Datattreya termed the victory of NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections as "historic".

"It is the victory of democracy, which was murdered by the Bihar Governor and the UPA in the February elections and is a lesson to pseudo-secularists," Datattreya said addressing jubilant party workers.

"The NDA will come back to power at the Centre under the leadership of former prime minister A B Vajpayee and party President L K Advani," Datattreya added.

Datattreya congratulated NDA chief ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar with whom he had worked as junior minister when the latter was railway minister in the then Vajpayee government.

It was celebration time at the Syamaprasad Mukerjee Bhavan, state headquarters of the BJP with the party volunteers bursting crackers and distributing sweets.
