BJP national executive meeting would be held in New Delhi on May 29-30. It is to be held at the Parliament Annexe.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) national executive meeting would be held in New Delhi on May 29-30.

Over 100 members of the national executive, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, state unit Presidents and Organisation Secretaries and Zonal Incharges would attend the two-day executive meeting.

The meeting to be held at the Parliament Annexe on May 29-30 would be preceded by a meeting of party General Secretaries and Organisation Secretaries on May 28.

Ahead of this, Conveners and Co-Conveners of all party cells would meet on May 27. All state presidents, state organisation secretaries and in-charge would meet after the national executive on May 31.

The meeting is expected to discuss the BJP after Mahajan's death, political and economic situation in the country and would also discuss the recent Assembly elections in Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Pondicherry the results of which would be out on May 11, among other organisational matters.

The national executive meeting was initially scheduled to be held in Guwahati in March. It was postponed to May 25 and the venue was shifted to Ludhiana.

Subsequently, in the wake of party General Secretary Pramod Mahajan's death, the dates were changed to May 27-28 and the venue shifted to Delhi.

This will be the first national executive after Rajnath Singh took over as party President.
