Patna: No one would have dared to do this against him, but Prabhat Kumar did. He fined Bihar's most dreaded don-turned-politician Mohd Shahabuddin for travelling without ticket on the Sampoorna Kranti Express. The fine was Rs 440.
Kumar was not fazed, neither by the presence of cops, surrounding the Bihar strongman, nor the aura of the man himself.
Shahabuddin was being taken to Delhi on Sampoorna Kranti Express to be sent to Tihar Jail as directed by the Supreme Court ensure free and fair trial in the cases lodged against him.
The order came on the pleas by Siwan-based Chandrakeshwar Prasad, whose three sons were killed in separate incidents, and Asha Ranjan, wife of scribe Rajdeo Ranjan who was murdered in Siwan, seeking shifting of Shahabuddin, a four time MP and twice an MLA, from Siwan jail.
