The passengers, including women and children, who were traveling from Delhi to Guwahati were beaten up by belts.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, passengers on board the North east Express were, on Wednesday night, beaten up by Armymen.

The Army jawans, who held the train passengers to ransom, claimed that the compartment was reserved only for the Army.

The passengers of the train plying between Delhi and Guwahati were beaten up by belts and even the women and children weren’t spared.

The entire matter came to the notice of Railway Protection Force when the passengers created a scene at Patna railway station.

About eight Army men have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against them.
