HYDERABAD: Handlooms minister P Shanker Rao and Malkajgiri MP Sarve Satyanarayana entered into a heated argument at the inauguration of a school building in Alwal here on Tuesday. They foul-mouthed each other in the presence of Hyderabad district collector Natarajan Gulzar, scores of officials, students and the media.It all started at the inauguration of a school building at Alwal as part of the Education Fortnight celebrations organised by the state government. Even as Shanker Rao was about to inaugurate the school building, Malkajgiri MP Sarve Satyanarayana who attended the event raised objections over violation of protocol by the district authorities. He complained to the district collector that the education department officials did not follow the protocol in sending an invite to him. Collector is learnt to have apologised for the goof-up and assured that it would not be repeated again.However, Shanker Rao intervened and allegedly called Satyanarayana an 'idiot' for disrupting the programme and asked him to shut up. Irked over this, the MP too foul-mouthed the minister calling him a fool and a rascal. The duo entered into a heated argument in the presence of school children and others. District Collector Natarajan Gulzar calmed them down.Later speaking to newsmen, Shanker Rao said that Sarve Satyanarayana was a corrupt politician with no common sense. He said that the Malkajgiri MP was known for jumping from one party to the other and has become an MP only due to his support.Reacting sharply to the allegations, Satyanarayana said that Shanker Rao won from Alwal Assembly constituency only due to his support.
