Mumbai: Actor Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Action Jackson' will hit cinema houses next year in April.
Directed by Prabhudeva, the action comedy stars Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam and a newcomer in the lead whose identity is being kept under the wraps. The film is likely to release on April 11 next and may clash with Amitabh Bachchan's 'Bhoothnath Returns'.
While this is the first collaboration between Ajay and the choreographer-turned-director, Sonakshi has already worked with Prabhudheva in projects like 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Oh My God', 'R...Rajkumar'.
Music for the film is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and action sequences are directed by Ravi Verman.
'Action Jackson' is being produced by Baba Films, who have been part of Devgn starrers like 'Ishq' (1997) and 'Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha' (1998). The film began its third shooting schedule with a song sequence for which a sprawling set has been constructed at a suburban studio in Mumbai. The shooting for a song is in full swing.
