19-year-old found dead

The body of a 19-year-old youth was found in a bush on Doddathimmasandra Road in Sarjapur on Sunday morning.

Shashikumar, a student of government college, was a resident of Sarjapur.

According to the police, some locals sensed foul smell emanating in the area while passing through that way and informed the matter to the police. Inspections revealed that the youth’s body was lying in a bush.

The body had several injury marks, the police said,  adding that the incident might have taken place about three days ago. “The miscreants had slit his throat and the reason for the murder.  We are tryig to track the details of his family. The reason for his murder is yet to be ascertained,” police said.

A case has been registered in Sarjapur police station limits and further investigations are on in this connection.
