ROURKELA: Nearly 17 students took ill on Saturday after consuming mid-day-meal at a school at Chikatmati area near here. They were admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) where their condition is stated to be stable. Sundargarh CDMO SC Patel confirmed that students with symptoms of gastroenteritis were admitted to RGH and are recuperating. He said a medical team would visit the school on Sunday to inquire into the reasons. Sources claimed that the students reported ill after lunch under as part of MDM scheme at the school.
