Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother Pranay Reddy Vanga feels that Rashmika Mandanna did not get the acknowledgment she deserved for Animal. The actress played Ranbir Kapoor’s wife in the film. Her role was one of the most layered characters in the film after Ranbir Kapoor. However, the stars who have emerged into the spotlight were Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri. Speaking about the film, Pranay felt that Rashmika was not getting enough attention.

Speaking with iDream Media, Pranay was speaking about the subject of feminism in connection with Animal when he brought up Rashmika’s name. The film producer, who co-produced Animal, said that Rashmika has done a great job in the film. “Geetanjali was a powerful character. (The critics) still want to make an issue. Rashmika did a good job in comparison with RK. Ranbir is one of the top 3 actors in cinema today. But none of the media in Mumbai are writing much about her. Maybe because of PR agencies and what her background is that mattered. They are not showing openly but if you see through those lines, you will undestand. Triptii got a lot of fame,” he said.

He added that while Tripti also did a good job in the film, the post release media attention was only on her and Rashmika was sidelined. “I feel Rashmika’s role was the best role after RK,” he said.

Triptii’s popularity shot up after Animal’s release. The actress’s follower count rose by 320 percent within a few days of the film’s release.
