The Telugu movie Drohi will be released in theatres on October 13. It is directed by Vijay Pendurty and is touted to be a crime thriller. The movie’s release date coincides with National Cinema Day so the makers have decided to sell the movie tickets for Rs 112. The film’s trailer was launched by the actor Trigun at a promotional event on October 9.
While releasing the trailer, the actor praised the director and the actors for their dedication towards the film. “The trailer is intriguing and I believe the film will achieve great success,” said actor Trigun as quoted by Deccan Chronicle. The movie is jointly produced by Good Fellow Media, Wednesday Entertainments and Play Wood Creations.
The actor and sports analyst, Sandeep Kumar is playing the lead role in the movie. During the event, he said that the film team decided to choose the title Drohi for the film in the beginning. He also announced that it will also released in Hindi after some time. While talking about the movie, Kumar said that it is an extraordinary drama tale which is mixed with the elements of crime and thriller. “It’s a must-watch film and I encourage everyone to see it on October 13, taking advantage of the special 112 ticket offer,” added Sandeep Kumar.
The lead actress of the movie, Deepti Varma said that the film gave her the opportunity to showcase her talent and she is grateful to the makers for it. She encouraged everyone to watch the film in theatres on October 13. Director Vijay Pendurty asked the audience to give small films like this a chance. He recalled the journey of this movie and added that the production of Drohi took a year after facing its own sets of challenges. During the event, he assured the audience that the film was worth watching.
This year, National Cinema Day will be celebrated on October 13 across India. The Multiplex Association Of India announced that on this day, movie tickets will be priced at Rs 99 across 4000+ screens in India. Last year, National Cinema Day was celebrated on September 23.
